Phase 1

We begin by handling the essentials and most urgent tasks. We make sure the right government agencies and take fraud prevention measures. This step protects the estate, and establishes a foundation for everything that follows.

Phase 2

Next, we move into the accounts and services your loved one used every day. This is where most families get stuck—endless phone trees, repeating the same story to strangers, and hours on hold. We take that burden off your shoulders.

Financial Notifications: Brokerage Accounts, Treasury Bonds, Retirement Accounts, Pensions and Unclaimed Benefits

Loans & Insurance: We'll cover loans across things like home,, auto, student and personal, etc.. On the insurance side a similar number of items will be coverd with auto, health, dental, vision, etc.

Utility Closures: Phone, Internet, Cable, Electric, Gas, Water, Sewage, Trash Collection, etc.

Employer Notifications: Final Paycheck, Acrrued PTO, Employer Based Benefits, Pending Reimbursements

General: DMA Notifications to stop junk mail, HOA, Landlord & Rental Agreements, and More.

Phase 3

Finally we tackle the remaining accounts from everyday memberships, social media, unclaimed assets, and professional contacts. We button up the details of your loved one's life so you can move forward with clarity and peace of mind.

General Accounts: Gym, App Subscriptions, Cloud Storage, Gaming Subscriptions, Self Storage Units, Trade Memberships, Streaming Services, Delivery Subscriptions and More

Homeservices: Cleaning services, Landscaping, HVAC maintenance, Plumbing & Electrician Subscriptions, Other Home service contracts.

Social Media: Meta (Facebook), Instagram, Reddit, Snap, Tik Tok, etc. We can also memorialize accounts.

Asset Discovery: We'll search for forgotten or abandonded accounts, locate unpaid checks due, discover unclaimed property (or hidden) in the U.S. and attempt to transfer loyalty/credit card points.

Professional Contacts: We'll initiate contact with professional contacts in your loved ones life. Lawyers, accountants, Financial planners, Doctors, Business Partners, etc.

Contact us or purchase our services. We'll then start with a discovery call to get a clear picture of everything left behind. It’s the foundation for what comes next.

Plan

Based on your answers, we create a personalized action plan. You’ll see exactly what needs to be done, what we’ll handle, and what needs your input.

Execute

We begin notifying all relevant organizations, auditing recurring charges, and preparing any  necessary non-legal documents (i.e. voter registration, letters, etc) that the executor will need for in person events. AnnCare and client to review and collaborate as needed.

4.

Wrap Up

We will compile all verification information of organizations being notified and organize into a downloadable packet for client. Long term storage available at an additional fee.

We don’t provide legal advice, but we do take care of the everyday tasks most people aren’t prepared for.

How quickly can you start?

We can usually begin within 1-3 business days. Once you connect with us, we’ll assign a specialist and get your intake started right away. If it’s time-sensitive, let us know—we’ll prioritize accordingly.

Can I get started if I don't have the death certificate yet?

Yes. We can begin most of the paperwork and prep right away. Once the death certificates arrive, we’ll have everything lined up and ready to file, which saves you time and keeps things moving.

Do I still need a lawyer?

You might, depending on your situation. AnnCare focuses on the non-legal side of estate work—handling the calls, paperwork, and notifications that often fall between the cracks. Many of our clients work with an attorney and us. We complement their legal support by managing the time-consuming admin no one else handles.

What if I've already started the process on my own?

That’s totally fine. We can step in at any stage—whether you’ve already made a few calls or you’re deep into it and feeling overwhelmed. Our team will assess what’s done, what’s left, and take the rest off your plate.

I already have an attorney-do I still need AnnCare?

Yes, and many law firms actually refer their clients to us. We don’t replace your attorney but act as an extension of their team to complement them. Attorneys handle legal matters. We handle everything else: account closures, notifications, benefit claims, even utility cancellations. If a law firm tried to do it all, the cost would skyrocket. We’re the practical, hands-on team that fills in the gaps.

How does AnnCare protect my personal information?

Your privacy is everything to us. We never permanently store or sell your personal data. We work with leading cyber security engineers to protect your data. All systems use single sign on and multi-factor authentication where possible. We use a single platform system to reduce our risks while ensure data is secure and HIPPA compliant. Sensitive information like Social Security numbers, account information, etc.  is also automatically deleted from our system once your case is closed.

We also help families remove the deceased’s name from marketing lists using DMAchoice.org, which helps prevent spam. Additionally, we notify credit bureuas which significantly improves fraud protection.

What if something goes wrong or I'm not happy with the service?

How long does the process take?

It depends on the complexity of the estate, but most families see significant progress within the first two weeks. Some tasks resolve quickly, while others (like insurance claims or government notifications) take a bit more time. We keep you updated as we move through everything.

Are there things AnnCare doesn't cover?

Yes. While we'd like to cover it all, we do our best to stay in our lane as well. AnnCare doesn’t provide legal, tax, or financial planning advice. If something comes up that falls outside our scope, we can introduce you to a vetted professional who can help.
