We help you navigate the paper work after loss

AnnCare is an executor assistant that works hand-in-hand with you to lift the weight of settling an estate. We help you close accounts faster, avoid missed steps, and save 80+ hours of work.
How it works

The aftermath no one prepares you for.

After a loved one passes, you're left grieving and drowning in a mountain of tasks: account closures, insurance paperwork, Social Security notifications, endless phone calls.

Most people think of the big things. The bank, utilities, the house, the car, the investments. But even with a Will or Trust, many people don’t think about the dozens of smaller tasks that come next. Tasks like notifying credit bureaus, canceling driver’s licenses, mailing in passports, updating voter registration status, memorializing social media, and more, all get left for months with some never being addressed.
Executor Assistant

AnnCare steps in when the to do list feels impossible.

We believe you shouldn't have to face the weight of settling an estate alone.

We’re a Bellingham based executor assistant that helps families with all the non-legal logistics after a loss. That means we handle things like notifying agencies, closing accounts, submitting insurance and VA forms, canceling subscriptions, and setting fraud protections. All the paperwork, calls, and tasks that drain a family after loss, we take care of them.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why AnnCare?

Most people have never handled the administrative side of death before and even if they have, it’s not something they want to go through alone. It’s complex. It’s time-consuming. And it’s happening during one of the hardest moments of their life. Meanwhile, this is what we do every day. We know who to call, what to say, and how to cut through the red tape. Families don’t have to sit on hold for hours with Social Security or a bank. We’ll do that for them. And because we’re not in grief, we can move faster, with a clearer head. We save families time, energy, and reduce the risk of missing something important, like unclaimed spousal benefits or forgotten accounts.

Is this just for executors, or can anyone use it?

Executors use us most often, but anyone dealing with the aftermath of a loss can benefit. Adult children, spouses, or even close friends often take on these tasks. We’re here to lighten the load, regardless of official title.

What kind of tasks can AnnCare help with?

Once we get started, we’ll hop on an onboarding call with the family. We’ll walk through everything that needs to be done, create a customized checklist, and then take the lead.

We help with the administrative work that comes after a loss. Things like notifying banks and credit card companies, closing accounts, submitting forms, claiming benefits, and protecting against identity theft. We don’t provide legal advice, but we do take care of the everyday tasks most people aren’t prepared for.

How quickly can AnnCare start?

We can usually begin within 1-3 business days. Once the family connects with us, we’ll assign a specialist and get their intake started right away. If it’s time-sensitive, let us know; we’ll prioritize accordingly.

Can families get started if they don't have the death certificate yet?

Yes. We can begin most of prep work right away. Once the death certificates arrive, we’ll have everything lined up and ready to file, which saves time and keeps things moving.

Does the family still need a lawyer?

Families might, depending on the situation. AnnCare focuses on the non-legal side of estate work, handling the calls, paperwork, and notifications that often fall between the cracks. Many of our clients work with an attorney and us. We complement their legal support by managing the time-consuming admin no one else handles.

What if the family already started the process on their own?

That’s totally fine. We can step in at any stage, whether they' already made a few calls or they're deep into it and feeling overwhelmed. Our team will assess what’s done, what’s left, and take the rest off their plate.

The family already has an attorney-do they still need AnnCare?

Yes, and many law firms actually refer their clients to us. We don’t replace an attorney but act as an extension of their team to complement them. Attorneys handle legal matters. We handle everything else: account closures, notifications, benefit claims, even utility cancellations. If a law firm tried to do it all, the cost would skyrocket. We’re the practical, hands-on team that fills in the gaps.

How does AnnCare protect personal information?

Privacy is everything to us. We never permanently store or sell personal data. We work with leading cyber security engineers to protect sensitive data. All systems use single sign on and multi-factor authentication where possible. We use a single platform system to reduce our risks while ensure data is secure and HIPPA compliant. Sensitive information like Social Security numbers, account information, etc.  is also automatically deleted from our system once each case is closed.

We also help families remove the deceased’s name from marketing lists using DMAchoice.org, which helps prevent spam. Additionally, we notify credit bureuas which significantly improves fraud protection.

What if something goes wrong or the family is not happy with the service?

We stand behind everything we do with a satisfaction guarantee. If we don’t meet family expectations or lighten the workload in the way we promised, we'll offer a full refund. No fine print. This is our commitment to helping families get through one of lifes toughest moments.

How long does the process take?

It depends on the complexity of the estate, but most families see significant progress within the first two weeks. Some tasks resolve quickly, while others (like insurance claims or government notifications) take a bit more time. We keep families updated as we move through everything.

Are there things AnnCare doesn't cover?

Yes. While we'd like to cover it all, we do our best to stay in our lane as well. AnnCare doesn’t provide legal, tax, or financial planning advice. If something comes up that falls outside our scope, we can introduce our clients to a vetted professional who can help.
